Cute Creations

Image
I made a dress with a little matching bag for my friend's daughter  (little toddler).  I loved this flower I had on it to begin with.  But because I was working in poor lighting, when the sunlight hit it, the yellow really clashed with the off-white.  So I had to change it into this.

I also made this bag...not sure for who yet.  It includes a zipper, water bottle holder, handle pocket, and several pockets on the inside for organization.  I'm thinking a school bag for a jr. high school girl.  If anyone would like it, let me know.

My new business card is ready to go! I absolutely love creating new and original items and look forward to seeing how things go.

Employed

For me, this feels like a break through.

I have signed on as a representative for Avon ~ a company that has been improving and helping women to enjoy their most beautiful selves for over one hundred years.  They just celebrated their 125 year mark.

Somehow, this is the right thing for me at the right time.  I cannot express how wonderful it is after seven years of:
-being at home
-constantly taking care of  needs
-getting stuck in ruts often
-going through trial after trial
-too far away from extended family
-having to literally work for any support
-longing for and feeling like something was missing

 to:
being able to now, in my free time, do something for myself that rejuvinates and motivates me to keep my life organized so that I can have the energy to fulfill my responsibilities more effectively.

Can I tell you how excited I am to get out there and share these amazing and affordable products with friends and family?!  I'm afraid I'll give everyone such a discount that I wo…

Breakfast cake

Hyrum continues to surprise us with his hidden talents.  He seems to have a gift for cooking.

This morning, he made a mini breakfast cake for Daddy.

He started out with:
1/3 cup of soy milk
 3T of flour
1 large egg
A piece of whole grain bread, broken up
1/4 cup of honey.
Stirred it all up.  Put it in the microwave for two minutes. He says to get candy out to put in.  He added a white chocolate linder ball in the middle of this one.

Daddy's reaction:  Upon handing it to him, he looked at it and said "It's cake".
Took a bite "It's hot-cake"
Chewed it up "This is actually really good.  Rachael, you want to try it?"
 :) Hyrum was happy.

He made macoroni and cheese the other day in the microwave-and I have to say that it was perfectly cooked, absolutely delicious.  I couldn't get enough of it.

Iron-On Fun
