Hyrum the Artist

Hyrum showed me his drawing of him, Lightening McQueen, Mater and the racetrack.  I asked if I could draw clouds while he colored his own drawings.  Says he wants to be an artist when he grows up.

Saturday, July 12

Well, we found a house.  If you want the address, you'll have to email me at my gmail account.  Still loving visiting with my family.  So much going on, tons of people to play outside with on the trampoline, to talk to, watch movies with.
It's been heaven.  I can't wait till my kids are old enough to really get out and play sports with.  It's always been a big stress outlet for me and great bonding for relationships.

Not sure I want to leave.

Tuesday, July 8

Well, the blessings just keep a comin'.  It's amazing.
Dan and I were able to attend Niki's sealing to her husband Trevor.  Much of what the sealer spoke about was a confirmation that we're doing well in our marriage and a remembrance of what we've learned together over time.  We've also had a goal to be like newlyweds our entire marriage.  Well, besides the two getting married, and my brother who was married a couple months ago, we were definitely the happiest, giddiest couple there.  I think being in the military really makes or breaks a marriage. We're grateful to have each other.

The next day, Sunday, was fast and testimony meeting and I bore my testimony probably could guess, marriage.  I also brought Ginnie up to say her testimony which was, 'I love Jesus, I love my family, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.'

She was a little shy but did great.

This morning my fifth sibling got engaged in the room next to where we were sleeping, and at the same time, I had an amazing dream which I was awoken out of by my sister to share the fun news.  The dream was yet another witness of those things that were confirmed to me the past few days concerning our trials.

It's so worth it to stay faithful!

I'm so grateful for this new start in life to be going to Ohio and in the mean time, spending time with mine and Dan's family's both of which are some of the best people on earth.

Sunday, July 6

This will be quick and short because I need to get the kids to bed.  But I've had a some marvelous experiences today.
The lesson in Sunday School just hit home for me.  I look back on the many trials our family experienced at our last assignment and it all makes sense.  It's clear to me now what I've gained from those trials and how I can best move forward in my growth and be so much better than I was capable of being in the past.  My heart is full of gratitude for this realization.  I have no regrets in the way we handled our trials because God was near through it all and He simply showed us the better way.
Angela's blessing was beautiful.  And it was wonderful to have family surrounding us on her special day.  I couldn't have more amazing daughters.  I see in them all that I desire to be myself.  Here are some pictures.  With all of my heart, I am grateful to my Father in Heaven for sending these children to our home.  I love Him.  I know He is there.  I want to learn to be the type of parent He is.  Someday, I will.
